Work Day - 02-19-11

I think it's pretty safe to say that Pineville will not be thawed within the next two days what with that 13 inches of snow we just received. So.... We will schedule our next work day on February 19. The temperatures should be up and we can continue with our project. We will need a shop vac or two, and the usual hammers, pry bars, screw drivers, etc. I'm sure we'll come up with something tasty by then for lunch. Anyone brave enough to post a response here to let other viewers know of their plans to attend?

  1. The snow days have allowed for time to contact heating/air folks. They will be in on this work day to give us their estimates and expertise. Anyone interested in hearing from them, come help move some paneling!

  2. The work day is shaping up! Our curator, David, is going to drop in and check out the progress and Carol is bringing Chicken Gumbo for lunch for all the workers! Hope to see you there.

  3. What a GREAT DAY! The paneling in the two small rooms upstairs is now off the walls! Can you believe that? We had 3 NEW volunteers arrive to help!!! Whoo hoo!!!! Thank you Bob, Cheryl & Ryan! Richard, Jimmy, Gene, Fred, Jerry, & Bill also returned. In addition to starting upstairs, the downstairs area received some much needed cleaning to prepare for our Soup Lunch Funder! Virginia, Carol, Raylene, and Dorothy helped with that! We also had David, Mike, Fred, Dora, Maureen, and Alberta drop in to cheer us on! And... thanks to Carol who brought in lunch! WHAT A GREAT DAY!
